Washington DC Eagle Cam

Our class has been slightly obsessed with watching the Washington DC eagle cam. We have watched these Eagles since just after they hatched and now they have their feathers and can be seen stretching their wings and practicing flying within the safety of the nest!

This group of children has a slight fascination with poop. One day we saw one of the eagles move over to the side of the nest, point his backside over, and do his business. You would have thought the home team had scored the winning point! I never actually thought about how the nest stayed so clean until witnessing this event.

Fun Science Activities for Kids

Looking for some different kinds of things to do with your child this summer? The ideas in this blog post here sound great! They look to be appropriate for kindergarten/first graders and easy enough to pull off.

If you try any of them out, let me know how they go. I’m trying to gather summer activities that are fun, easy, and engaging. Also, I don’t want to recommend Pinterest Fails! Have fun!
